This is not your typical fitness blog.
It doesn’t contain the secret pill, drink, or diet that will allow you to lose 20lbs in 30 days.
We will start with getting physically fit because the disciplines of eating better and having a more active lifestyle (i.e. exercise) has a snowball effect on your life and you will start seeing improvements in other areas of your life.
We will help you discover activities that you like doing (which makes exercise more fun) and we will share healthy recipes (my motto is that it has to not only be healthy, but it can’t taste like cardboard).
But…this blog goes beyond the scale….
It’s about developing an integrated plan that helps you get fit and stay fit in all areas of your life.
It starts with getting fit PHYSICALLY
…but it doesn’t end there.
It’s about getting fit PERSONALLY
It’s about dealing with the inner voice in your head that says, “You suck! You’re a failure and will always be a failure!” It’s about developing the personal and emotional skills it takes to become the person you want to be (perhaps called to be).
It’s about getting fit SPIRITUALLY
I’m a follower of Christ and believe Jesus when he says, “I am the way, the truth, and the life, no one comes to the Father except through me.” (John 14:6). Whether you are or are not a Christian I want to challenge you to know why you believe what you believe.
It’s about getting fit RELATIONALLY
I had a friend that used to say, “Everyone has a positive effect on a room, some make it positive when they enter and others make it positive when they leave.” (I don’t know about you, but I want to positively affect the room upon entering it). It’s about investing in the key relationships in your life and helping them grow to be the person they can be.
It’s about getting fit PROFESSIONALLY
If you’re not happy in your job you can create a 1-3 year plan to develop the skills you need and pursue the job of your dreams.
